What is The Modern Electric Street Team?

The Modern Electric Street Team is a way for fans to make money supporting a band they love. When fans share The Modern Electric with their friends and family, they are helping the band reach their dreams of becoming successful. We want to reward our fans for their awesome work by giving them the money we would normally give to a record label or Itunes etc.

When someone clicks a link to our shop and buys merchandise, the fan that originally shared that link will get a percentage of the sale.

How much money can I make?

Can I make money on any Modern Electric product on the web?

The only merchandise you can make money from sharing are the products in our online shop. You can browse the shop here.

What happens if someone buys a different product in the shop after clicking my link?

If a customer clicks your link, any purchase they make at the shop will count towards your payment. The only way that it wouldn’t count is if they came to the shop in a later browsing session by directly visiting our website or by clicking a different link that led to the shop.

How do I sign up?

Click the “Register” button above. Make sure you add the email address associated with your Paypal account so that we can pay you. You will receive a confirmation email from us. You can then view your Street Team account anytime by going to https://themodernelectric.com/streetteam and clicking “My Account.”

Do I have to have a Paypal account?

Yes, this is the only way we can pay you. During registration, add the email address associated with your Paypal account to insure that you get paid. If you don’t already have a Paypal account, you can easily set one up here.

How do I make a link to a specific product in The Modern Electric shop?

Go to the page of the product you wish to share.

Copy the link in the address bar.

Add the following code to the end of the link you copied:

When do I get paid?

We payout our Street Team members at the end of each day. If your link contributed to a sale, your money will be sent to your Paypal account within 24 hours of cleared payment.

What is the Street Team Facebook Group?

The Street Team Facebook Group is community of fans that are encouraged to share ideas on how to spread the word about The Modern Electric. This group is the best way for the band to communicate with Street Team members and send them new music, shows, and merchandise to share as well as ideas on how to successfully share them. You can join the Facebook group here.

Where are the best places to share my links?

You can share your links anywhere on the web such as in emails, on social media, on your own blog/website, etc. You can even text your links. For more ideas on ways to share your links, join The Street Team Facebook Group.

What are the best ways to make money in The Modern Electric Street Team?

We find that the best way to make a sale is to share pictures and videos of yourself interacting with the merchandise and describing how much you love it. Simply telling your friends to buy a product doesn’t often do the trick.

For example, you could post a picture of yourself listening to our album on Instagram and in the description tell the world how much it has meant to you. If you combine a heartfelt post like this with a link to our album, you will have a much better chance of getting a friend to check it out- and even buy it.
